Emails > Phonecalls
Todays Tip is also about correspondence with your insurance company. When communicating with your insurance agent …opt to email rather than chat over the phone. Having everything in writing will be more helpful. Obviously there will be times you have to speak over the phone rather than email (ugh! I know)…
For those dreaded phone calls you have to answer follow my first tip of the day from last week…which was to keep a journal of those conversations. Write down the date, time, who you spoke with, and what was said.
But always try to email rather than call if you can. Your insurance agent should have an email address that he can provide for you, just ask!
P.s.- This is also a win-win for you because you won’t have to sit on hold for hours or listen to their excuses! Yay!
“Every morning there’s a roof shingle hanging from the corner of my girlfriend’s four post bed…” or how about… “All around the state statutes crumble (thanks to Irma)..something…. I just wanna fly (through the air like a coconut)” Oh wait, those aren’t the Sugar Ray lyrics!
Today’s Tip comes to you from Everglades City, Florida. While having lunch yesterday in Everglades City at one of my favorite restaurants for seafood… an employee shared with me her frustrations after the storm.
Use your brain, file a claim
To not do so would be insane
Don’t throw your hard earned money down the drain
Insurance companies want to gain
Denial and delay is the game they play
Call Lauren Hussey with Danziger & Dellano – We’ll make em’ pay!
*** I don’t recommend trying this at home… clearly, I was on hold for a very long time***
